Some seeds have peculiar “wings”. Other seeds carry proteins, marmots and other animals and birds.
Interesting fact: animals that feed on forest fruits contribute to the spread of seeds.
The fruits of plants contain one or more seeds. There is one seed in a cherry (in a seed), and there are many of them in strawberries. It is important that seeds spread over the earth over long distances to give life to new plants.
Sowing work
Since ancient times, man has been familiar with the secrets of nature, for example, how to turn seeds into ripe fruits. Therefore, people grew wheat, rice, vegetables and much more. To get a plant, do the following. First, the seeds are thrown into the prepared soil - on beds or in furrows. Then they take care of the seedlings for several months: they loosen the ground, water and weed the plants. Finally, the fruits appear. But for them to become ripe and tasty, some more time must pass.
A large coconut fruit, after falling from a tree, falls into the sea, which will carry it to distant shores. When the fruit with the seeds inside reaches the earth, it will sprout. So a new coconut tree will appear.
Seeds have a different shape. They can be located on the surface of the fetus or be hidden inside it.
Exploding plants
The fruits of some plants are oval. When such a fruit ripens, it “explodes”, scattering seeds around along with sticky liquid. One of these plants is mad cucumber. Its seeds stick to the paws of forest animals and thus “travel”, settling in new places.
